What is Lasso?
Lasso is a "Expert Locator" web application.
What is an Expert Locator?
An Expert Locator is an application that helps you locate experts in your network of co-workers, family, or friends. When you need an expert, Lasso will help you track one down. Once you find an expert, you may contact them with your plea for assistance.
What are Expertise Tags?
Expertise Tags are used to label a person's areas of expertise.
You can add your own expertise tags through the tag editing form that is accessed from the user profile page.
You can also suggest tags to other users when viewing their profile by clicking the link in the expertise tag section. These tags will be displayed when the user approves the tags for public viewing.
How do I find an Expert?
There is a basic search function at the top of every page. There is also an advanced search page accessible from the Advanced Search link in the page header.
